Welcome to the Concert Artist Series at Long Beach City College, featuring performances by LBCC Music Faculty as well as by some amazing guest musicians. Concerts are held in two different venues: Ruth Todd Memorial Concert Hall, Room G-122 and First Congregational Church of Long Beach. Reserving your seat is HIGHLY recommended, especially at the events that are held on campus. All ADVANCED PURCHASE reserved seats are $10. If you decide to pay for your reserved you seat at the door it is $15 (cash only). Reserved seats for the concerts held off campus come with preferential parking. General admission with no reservation is $20. You may reserve your seat by calling 562-938-4411 and leaving a message. Your call will be returned and confirmed and your name will be added to the reserved list.  You may also reserve your seat by clicking on the “Buy Tickets” button for each concert and purchasing your tickets online. All reserved seats must be claimed by 10 minutes before showtime, upon which those seats will be released.

The LONG BEACH CITY COLLEGE CONCERT ARTIST SERIES in collaboration with the Long Beach Camerata Singers - LONG BEACH BACH FESTIVAL will proudly present CENTRAL4 piano quartet and guests Martin Glicklich(flute), Marisa Kuney (violin) and Thomas Harte (double bass) performing the Brandenburg Concerto No. 5 as well as a world premiere of a piano quartet commissioned for this occasion by Jenni Brandon entitled, “MEDITATIONS.”

LOS ANGELES SAXOPHONE QUARTET

The Los Angeles Saxophone Quartet is an exciting new ensemble that performs music that spans the classical and jazz spectrum, reaches out to new audiences, and promotes composers from the west coast.  Formed to showcase music from the California region at the 2011 North American Saxophone Alliance conference, the group has continued on in its inaugural recital season performing throughout the Southwest.   The current season features music from Paris to LA, performing works of Ravel, Pierné, Przytulski, and Ticheli.
James Barrera (Soprano Saxophone) – Saxophone Professor at California State University, Long Beach
Jay Mason (Alto Saxophone) – Saxophone Professor at California State University, Long Beach and Studio Musician
Christopher Charbonneau (Tenor Saxophone) – Doctoral Student at Arizona State University
Roger Przytulski (Baritone Saxophone) – Saxophone/Composition Professor at Long Beach City College
